Accident Summary:
. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED CAMP EVANS AT 1600 HOURS ON A PLANNED COURIER RUN FROM CAMP EVANS TO PHU BAI TO CAMP EAGLE, THEN RETURN TO CAMP EVANS. AT 1610 HOURS, IN THE VICINITY OF COCOA BEACH (YD 7735) THERE WAS A VIBRATION TO THE REAR OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT HEADING WAS 135 DEGREES, ALTITUDE 450 FEET, AIRSPEED 90-100K, AND ALL INSTRUMENTS WERE IN THE GREEN. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE VIBRATION, THE PILOT, DECIDED TO MAKE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING. DURING THE ATTEMPTED PRECAUTIONARY LANDING, AT APPROXIMATELY 100-150 FEET, 60K, AND HEADING 135 DEGREES, THE AIRCRAFT STARTED A CLOCKWISE TURN. THE PILOT ANNOUNCED "WE HAVE LOST CONTROL." THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED IN A TURNING, DESCENDING TURN FOR APPROXIMATELY 435 DEGREES UNTIL IT STRUCK THE GROUND IN A LEVEL ATTITUDE AT A HEADING OF 210 DEGREES. THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED INTO THE AIR AND FORWARD FOR 8 FEET AND CAME TO REST AT A HEADING OF 240 DEGREES.\\
