An RVN soldier strains under the burden of a wounded comrade as he and his American ally unload injured troops at a hospital near Vinh Long. With few roads and most trails booby-trapped, U.S. Army helicopters often are all that stand between life and death for the wounded.
In another phase of the operation, Huey's of the 114th Aviation Company take off on an "Eagle Flight" while reinforcements on the ground wait to move into action later. Perhaps the most dangerous of all operations, the Eagle Flights consist of small airmobile units of RVN troops which search out and destroy the Viet Cong.
