2009 Reunion Itinerary
Wednesday, June 17th thru Sunday, June 21st

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Wednesday June 17th:
11:00 am - Planned Tour - Trip to Schriever AFB to tour Satellite Operations. Additional details not available at this time.

The Hospitality Room will be open around 2:00 pm to pickup your Welcome package and come visit with old and new friends.

Thursday June 18th:
8:00 am - Planned Tour - Pikes Peak Cog Railway www.cograilway.com - Approx. 4.5 hours.

Discovered by Zebulon Pike in 1806 it rises 14,110 feet above sea level. As you travel up the mountainside aboard one of the last true cog railway trains in America, you will experience three distinct geographical regions marked by striking changes. At the summit you will feel like you are on top of the world! Take a jacket or sweater -- it can be cold and windy on top, even on warm summer days. This trip is not recommended if you have cardiac or respiratory problems. Even those in good health may feel faint or light-headed.

2:00 pm - Golf at the Air Force Academy

There are two 18 hole courses on the academy grounds. The Blue course is a 6966 yard, par 72. The Silver course is a 6510 yards, also a par 72. Green fees are $60. Golf carts are an additional $14.00 per player. Club rentals are $15.00 or $25.00 depending on how fancy you want the clubs to be.

The Hospitality Room will be open around 2:00 pm so you can visit with old and new friends.

Friday June 19th:
8:00 am Planned Tour - Air Force Academy & Garden of the Gods - Approx. 4 hours

Enjoy a relaxed, tour of the 18,000-acre Air Force Academy. After you pass through the North Gate, you will view Diamond Lil, the B-52 Bomber. Next a lovely scenic overlook off North Gate Road. You are in for a treat while visiting the exquisite 17-spired, interdenominational chapel where the cadets march in their inspiring Noon Formation.

Other attractions include Falcon Stadium, the cadet glider port and the new 3.8 million dollar visitor’s center. Afterwards, you will travel to the Garden of the Gods Park. Not surprisingly, the Garden of the Gods is the most photographed site in the United States.

Many opportunities for beautiful photographs. One of the worlds greatest natural wonders, this gallery of amazing red rock sculptures created more than 300 million years ago by violent geological forces. Fantastic formations jut skyward at heights of over 300 feet. Several stops will be made to view such spectacular monoliths as Balanced Rock and the Kissing Camels.

5:00 pm - Planed Tour - Flying "W" Ranch Supper and Western Stage Show

Take a step back in time to uniquely experience a taste of the Old West. The Flying "W" offers a winning combination of picturesque natural surroundings, an authentic Western Town, mouth-watering cowboy cuisine and the finest in western music.

After a scrumptious supper, sit back under the stars and immerse yourself in the rich vocals and instrumental virtuosity of the worlds second oldest cowboy band, the Flying W Wranglers. Guaranteed to be an evening to be remembered. Prices include admission to the Western Town, supper, show, tax, and tip. The town opens at 5:00pm and supper is served at 7:00 pm.
