OPTIONAL TOURS

Now is the time to start your planning for the 114th Aviation Company Association Reunion 2001, May 25 to 28

Central Missouri Tour: Coach will load at Reunion Headquarters at 9 AM, Friday, May 25, 2001 to go to Fulton, Missouri. First stop will be the Winston Churchill Memorial featuring the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury. Originally in London’s Old City, destroyed in Great Fire of 1666, and rebuilt by Sir Christopher Wren. After the 1940 London blitz, the tons of stone and columns remaining were shipped to Fulton and reconstructed on the Westminister College campus. The campus was the site of Churchill’s prophetic "Iron Curtain" speech. A section of the Berlin Wall is located at the site. Lunch will be served on the William Woods College Campus in Fulton.

After lunch, we will drive to Jefferson City to tour the Capital area, including a visit in the Capital building including the museum.

Cost of Tour: $45 per person.

Branson Tour: If you ever thought you wanted to see what Branson is all about, this is your opportunity! Coach will load early afternoon following the parade and Memorial Service at the Memorial Service site and will depart for Branson. A box lunch and drinks will be provided on the bus. You will arrive in time for motel check-in, dinner at the Golden Coral and the Shoji Tabuchi show, one of the world’s greatest entertainers. You will be staying at the Yellow Rose Motel (includes a full continental breakfast).

After Tuesday breakfast, you will visit Silver Dollar City. A highly rated theme park with an 1880’s Ozark pioneer village atmosphere, which includes shops where artisans demonstrate their skills in traditional crafts. There is varied top quality entertainment throughout the park and a cave to tour. Lunch is on your own but there is plenty of choice. You will depart in time for a short show at the IMAX theatre. Dinner will follow at McFarlain’s. The evening show will be Bobby Vinton of Blue Velvet fame with the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

After Wednesday breakfast, you will attend the Lennon Brothers show at the Lawrence Welk Theatre and then depart for Springfield, Missouri for a visit and lunch at the Bass Pro Shop Outdoor World Headquarters and main outlet. Bass Pro Shop houses aquariums, a waterfall, stuffed animals, an art gallery and much more. It is a retail outlet for anything for outdoor life from clothing to RV’s and boats. You will then depart to arrive in Columbia at 5PM.

Cost of Tour: $375 per person, Double Occupancy
